CAUTION

On March 16, 2009, at approximately 3:30 p.m., an unidentified man entered a bank located in the "Little Italy" section of San Diego, California. The suspect wrote on a bank deposit slip and approached one of the tellers. The suspect leaned forward, slid the note across the counter, and allegedly told the teller he wanted money. Reportedly, the teller recalled seeing the word "robbery" written on the note. The teller, who smelled alcohol on the suspect's breath, said an account number was needed to access bank customer information in its kiosk-style cash dispenser. The suspect appeared to become frustrated and left the bank with the note. The suspect was observed walking up the street and out of view.

Approximately 15 minutes later, the same individual entered a San Diego bank approximately five blocks away. While in the bank, the suspect wrote on a deposit slip and approached a bank teller. The note reportedly read, "This is a robbery." The teller asked the suspect for clarification and the robber allegedly said "Give me all your money." The teller replied that a key was needed to get into the cash drawer, which was empty. The suspect, again frustrated, retrieved the demand note and exited the bank toward Horton Plaza.

During the first incident, the suspect wore a greenish-blue jacket with a light-colored collar, blue jeans, a scarf with white, black, and gray stripes, and brown shoes. He also wore gray-tinted, wire-rimmed sunglasses (possibly prescription).

During the second incident, the suspect wore a gray short-sleeved T-shirt with "GEORGETOWN" written across the chest, blue jeans, and brown shoes. He also wore gray-tinted, wire-rimmed sunglasses (possibly prescription).
